The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) is the largest higher education institution in Lithuania, specialising in health sciences, life sciences, agriculture, and veterinary sciences. It is internationally recognised for its strong academic tradition, interdisciplinary research, and close integration of education, research, and healthcare practice. LSMU conducts multidisciplinary research across medicine, pharmacy, public health, nursing, rehabilitation, veterinary medicine, and natural product sciences, addressing challenges in human and environmental health. LSMU offers a Postgraduate Forest Therapy Programme and develops postdoctoral studies in forest therapy, aimed at advancing innovative, evidence-based, nature-oriented interventions for health promotion and rehabilitation. LSMU’s forest therapy initiatives integrate interdisciplinary research, applied practice, and education, fostering collaboration between healthcare professionals, pharmacists, environmental scientists, and community stakeholders.
